About District One EMS

On call 24/7 since 1977

  • District One EMS was founded in 1977 to provide emergency medical care and transport to the sick and injured throughout the communities of Berry, Black Earth, Cross Plains, Mazomanie, and Vermont. As a volunteer service, members of the communities dedicated time away from home and families to provide this life saving service day and night for their families, friends, and neighbors.

  • District One EMS continues its mission to provide emergency medical care and transport to the communities of Berry, Black Earth, Mazomanie, and Vermont. Currently staffed by a dedicated group of 30 volunteers and 2 full time members. Volunteers within and outside of the communities we serve continue to provide their time, talents, and expertise to continue our tradition of providing excellent emergency medical care.

Volunteers are the heart and soul of this department and are an invaluable resource to our communities.
