The most fulfilling thing you can
do with your life is save lives!

The need for EMTs is urgent as EMS services across the nation – and here in southern Wisconsin – face critical personnel shortages.

Please consider becoming a volunteer EMT for District One EMS. You’ll find support and camaraderie, state-of-the-art medical technology and ongoing training to hone your skills. But most importantly, you’ll have the honor and privilege of making a lifesaving difference in a community that truly needs you.

You Have What it Takes

No medical experience is needed to become an EMT. In only six months,
you can learn all the skills needed to become a fully credentialled EMT
ready to save lives.

Traditional EMT programs include classroom instruction and hands-on training. Students learn to assess and treat patients in emergency situations, perform basic life support procedures, and operate medical equipment.

Online/Blended Options

This course is offered in a hybrid online/in-person format. The book and classroom work is completed at your own pace. Once completed, you will attend an in-person session to complete your skills.

This program offers both online and hybrid options for obtaining your EMT license.

Many non-traditional options are available for obtaining an EMT license. Funding is available on a case-by-case basis for these programs. Please contact us at mzems1@gmail.com with questions.
